New Years Day Annual Ride:
Meet at back parking lot of Pedal Power Sunday Jan 01 2012 1PM. The ride will be leaving at 1pm so please be there before that. By the looks of the weather lately, it will be a MTB ride to the Pines. But that could change depending on the conditions, so it could turn into a gravel road tour, or both depending on who shows up. This is usually the biggest attended club ride of the season, so please plan on joining us for this ride and bring along a friend or 2.

It's that time of the year again for the annual Fall Colors Ride. Meet this Saturday October 8 at 10:00 in the Pedal Power parking lot for a 60-70km ride taking back-roads and rail trail in the Oxford area. Coffee stop at the half way mark.

A few quick updates:
1. Unfortunately will not have an open-house day tomorrow, Sep 18th.
2. We are having a pre-race maintenance day on Sunday, Sep 25th. Please see the details on the club calendar.
3. The Dairy Capital Stampede race is fast approaching (Oct 2nd). Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering on the race day.
4. The Wednesday night rides will start at 6Pm at Roth Park instead of 6:30 starting next week Sept 21st.
5. The Canadian Cycling Magazine is offering a 60% savings off the retail sales price, $4 off a one year subscription, and $6.95 off a two year subscription. If you are interested please contact us, and we will send you the discounted subscription form.

We need your help. We have a trial maintenance day scheduled for this Sunday, August 28, and as the saying goes...many hands make light work. There is lots of work to be done on the trails The recent heavy rains have wreaked havoc on the trails. Any and all are welcome. If you have a spare rake bring it with you. Many of our corners need rehabilitation and sand removal and there is much weedwacking and triming. Please consider coming out. Pizza and "beverages" will be available.

Attention Trail riders,
Several trails have been closed at the Pines. The spring thaw and a lot of rain this week has left the ground very soggy. I have closed trails 5,6 & 7 because there is too much standing water and mud. Please avoid these trails for the next short while. Also the bottom of 10 is very wet. Hopefully this weeks warmth will help. Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to seeing everyone at the next trail maintenance day Sunday May 1.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks to all who braved the weather and came out to help at the first trail maintenance day of the season. As a result of some old fashioned hard work and drying time I am pleased to announce that the trails are open! As always please stay off the trails during heavy rains especially this time of year.
There remains lots of work to be done on the trails. Remember the next dates are Sunday May 1 and Saturday May 7. I hope to organize groups to continue work on the new 354 expansion, the new kids trail expansion and finally complete some other smaller projects. Remember the more the merrier.

Come out and join us for an exciting fun filled day of raking, sawing, cutting, digging and decorating the Pines Trails Complex. Try out some of our new tools or be the first to erect a new trail marker! Learn what a Pulaski, and a McLeod are and discover how useful these can be! Lots of Music and BBQ will follow each of the events.

Trails at the Pines are Closed. If you ride the trails now you will cause permanent damage. We will post a message on the Web site when the trails can be ridden.

The Wednesday rides will resume Wednesday, March 23rd at 6:30PM. We`ll meet at Roth Park and ride around the lake. This is not a difficult ride and is excellent for beginners.

The first ride of the year is confirmed. The Pancake Ride (Woodstock to Beachville (Jakeman's) & back) will happen on Sunday April 3rd. The ride leaves Pedal Power shortly after 11:00AM, and depending on the turnout, we quite often split the ride in two. One is the shorter less hilly route, and the other is the opposite.
